Kaleidoscope Traditional Jazz Band dressed in whites, stripes and boaters, provide the perfect accompaniment to an outdoor summer party or wedding reception! Traditional Jazz was a popular style of music during the 1920’s when ladies shortened their tresses and bobbed their hair. Often referred to as a Dixieland or New Orleans Jazz, this music is about spirited ensemble playing with an emphasis on Rags, Marches & Stomps. Typically, a ‘Trad’ or 'Traditional Jazz' Band will include acoustic instrumentation such as Clarinet, Banjo, Brass Bass, Trumpet, Trombone. With no electrics required, this ensemble can play anywhere! River boat cruises, historic landmarks, private gardens and open top buses!
The Kaleidoscope Traditional Jazz Trio, Quartet & Quintet have performed at many events around the Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, East & West Sussex, London counties during recent years and are often in demand to travel further afield! Regular venues include: Lainston House, Manor Barn, Spinnaker Tower, Avington Park, Careys Manor, Clock Barn, HMS Warrior, Goodwood House, Chewton Glen, The Kennels,Henley Regatta, Langrish House, Tithe Barn, Langstone Hotel, RM Museum, Action Stations, Uwaltham Barns, Fontwell Racecourse, Royal Ascot and the Tower Of London.
